1971 batch had our reunion in the college campus on 14th and 15th December 2019 and a left over amount of Rs 1,35,000/- from this reunion was handed over to Mrs Lalithamba Head mistress of NITK(KREC) Hr Primary school yesterday. Mr Yajna Narayan 1971 Electrical and past president of alumni association and currently chairman Sona group accompanied by Mrs Vasanthi Yajnanarayan and Mr S. P. Kudva 1971 Mechanical accompanied by Mrs Suma Kudva handed over the cheque in the august presence of Prof Panduranga Vittal - - Dean Alumni affairs and Dr Arun. M Secretary of the school from NITK teaching faculty.

There are 125 students with 7 teachers (4 permanent and 3 temporary) teacher on permanent basis are paid a paltry Rs 7000 per month and temporary basis teachers much less!
On coming to know that teachers are not getting their salaries even on time, 1971 batch decided on this move to bring back smile on the faces of economically backward children studying there.
