Greetings Dear Alumni,

The results for Formula Bharat 2021 were announced yesterday, and I'm elated to say that this was our best performance yet. Our rankings are as follows:

Overall rank: 7th

Engineering Design Presentation rank: 8th

Business Plan Presentation rank: 7th

We also received a notable mention from the judges for "Remarkable Improvement in Statics" as our rank improved from 33rd in 2020 to 8th in the Engineering design event in 2021. 

A total of 60 of India's best engineering colleges participated in Formula Bharat, and NITKRacing is the highest-ranking NIT that participated. In the Business Plan Presentation, we managed to outrank many top tier colleges such as IIT Madras, who won 1st rank overall. At a final score of 165.08 out of 225, we were less than three points short of being in the top 5, cementing our position in the top 10. With the stellar performance this season, we are poised to take the brand of NITK to greater heights in the seasons to come.

This feat would not have been possible without the help of our beloved alumni, who tirelessly mentored us throughout the season. We also owe our success to our Faculty advisor, Dr Parthasarathy P, the HOD, Dr Srikantha S Rao and the professors at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITK, who helped us when we faced issues during the design and analysis phase. 

I sincerely thank Dean (Students Welfare) for the support and for believing in NITKRacing.
